Despite the weather being unsettled in the morning – our efforts were rewarded with a fine afternoon which was enjoyed by over one hundred villagers. The bouncy castles were a favourite with our younger people and speciality ice creams were declared ‘absolutely delicious’ by everyone. The karaoke session was popular with all ages – with some impressive performances keeping everyone entertained. We had a visit from the ‘Queen’ for whom a special throne had been made. Her majesty handed out jubilee mugs to our Village children. Music and late sunshine kept celebrations going well into the evening.
